  • Inclusion

Inclusive education is for everyone; its purpose is to:

    • Address barriers to learning which may have a short-term or long-term impact on schooling, such as bereavement, health issues and special educational needs. Most pupils, at some time in their education, encounter an event which can hinder their ability to learn.
    • Develop individual strengths and gifts, with high and appropriate expectations for each child.
    • Work on individual goals while participating in the life of the classroom with other pupils.
    • Foster a school culture of respect and belonging.
    • Provides opportunities to learn about and accept individual differences.
    • Develop friendships with a wide variety of other children, each with their own individual needs and abilities.
    • Positively affect both  school and community to appreciate diversity and inclusion on a broader level.
    • Involve parents in education and activities of the schools.
    • See below for some of the resources and programmes we have in school as well as some website you may find useful.
